WE ARE OPEN!!
.PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE AN UPCOMING APPOINTMENT.
At EAST AURORA family dentistry, our patients and community are at the heart of everything we do. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and while many things have changed, one thing remains the same: our commitment to your health and safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows Universal Infection Control Precautions and also recommendations made by the ADA, CDC and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
In light of COVID-19, you may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made additional wellness efforts to help protect both our patients and our staff. Please be aware of the new protocol moving forward:
-All patients will be screened for COVID symptoms prior to their appointment, and staff will be screened each morning.
-We will be offering a curbside check in and waiting room- please call or text upon arrival and we will let you know when we are ready for you to enter the building. For those who are unable to call or text, the office waiting room is available. Please remember to practice social distancing and take a seat at least six feet away from any other patients who may be in the waiting room.
-We are kindly asking that ONLY those with an appointment enter the building. Any companions will be asked to wait in their cars. Exceptions are parents of minors and caregivers.
-You will be asked to wear a mask or face covering upon entering the building and keep it on until you are seated in the operatory. Your hygienist or dental assistant will let you know when you should remove your mask.
-Upon entering the office space, we are asking that you please use hand sanitizer. We will also ask that you sanitize again when leaving.
-Your temperature will be taken with an infrared thermometer; if your temperature is elevated, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment. Staff temperatures will also be taken daily.
-All patients will be asked to use a 1.5% peroxide pre-procedural mouth rinse.
-Patients are encouraged to report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of their appointment
-We have installed sneeze guards at the front desk and staff will be wearing masks at all times.
Despite the many changes, our hearts are still in the same place. We will certainly miss the hugs and handshakes, but more than anything, we are looking forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
Yours truly,
Dr. Callie Williams
